The Japan Handball League has previously indicated that some teams would not participate in the new professional league aiming to start next year, but with the announcement that it will review the way the league operates, all teams participating in the current Japan league will participate.

The JHL = Japan Handball League held a board meeting on the 15th to discuss how to operate a new professional league that is scheduled to start in September next year.

In preparation for the establishment of a new professional league, the league and some teams were at odds over how to manage revenue, and five of the 9 men's and women's teams participating in the current Japan league, including a strong team with a Japan national team, indicated that they would not participate.

For this reason, at the board meeting on the 23th, the league announced that it would review the way it manages revenue, and as a result, it was decided that all teams would participate, and the current 5 teams will be joined by 15 teams, including new teams.

The revenue management method that was previously managed by the league in the new professional league will be changed to a method of managing each team, and the specific method will be discussed in a working group led by team representatives and decided by the end of June this year.

Kazumasa Ashihara, Representative Director of the Japan League, said, "The purpose of the new league is to build the world's best league, which will be a place where children should aspire.
