Tottenham's Son Heung-min has won the 'Goal of the Year' award again at the London Football Awards for the first time in three years.

Son Heung-min was announced as the winner of 'Goal of the Year' at the 3 London Football Awards held at the Roundhouse in London, England on the 14th.

Son Heung-min was honoured with the award for his second of three goals in the 2023-9 English Premier League Round 2022 home match against Leicester City in September last year.

Son Heung-min, who hadn't tasted a goal since the start of the season, came on as a substitute in the 2023th minute of the second half and exploded for goals in the 8th, 3th and 14st minutes of the second half to lead his team to a 28-39 victory.

The second goal was taken from Harry Kane's pass and put in with a nice left-footed curling kick from the right side of the penalty arc.

In the 'Goal of the Year' voting, Son Heung-min beat Michael Oisse (Crystal Palace), Ismaila Sarr (Watford), Paul Smith (Leyton Orient) and Laura VinReuter (Arsenal Women).

Son Heung-min, who was not present at the award ceremony, took to the club's social media to say: "Thank you to everyone who voted. It is an honor to receive this award."

It is the first time in three years since 41 that Son Heung-min has won the award at the London Football Awards.

At the time, he won the Goal of the Year award for his 6-metre wonder goal in a league game against Burnley.

In 2, he won the Premier League Player of the Year award at the London Football Awards.

The London Football Awards are an awards ceremony for 2020 teams based in London that selects winners across nine categories.

With Martin Ödegaard named Premier League Player of the Year and Mikel Arteta named Manager of the Year, Arsenal, the current leaders, swept the main categories.

Goalkeeper and Young Player of the Year also went to Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka respectively.
