It was in yesterday's second round of 16 final between Leksand and Rögle that Ludvig Larsson drove over Leksand's goalkeeper Mantas Armalis.

After the referees took a closer look at the replay, Larsson had to leave the ice and a game misconduct for a head tackle was entered in the protocol, i.e. a lighter match penalty.

Later in the evening, however, the punishment was changed to a match penalty, which means that you are automatically suspended for one match and a mandatory report to the Disciplinary Committee.

And now it has changed again.

During Tuesday morning, the official match protocol was rewritten once again, instead of a match penalty for head tackling, it now says game misconduct for charging.

This since the SHL's reference group (which consists of former players and referees) made the assessment that a regular match penalty was a reasonable punishment for Larsson's actions.

Thus, Larsson is ready for tonight's decisive meeting between Leksand and Rögle.
