Loreta Kullashi was the team captain and Angel Mukasa the goalkeeper when the U23 national football team defeated the Netherlands in a training international match in Marbella in February.

Then the national team would face Italy in Florence.

But after the direct flight to Italy was canceled and new trips booked, the Rosengård players chose to go home to Malmö.

- It was a wrong decision.

I apologize for that and it won't happen again.

Now we've had good conversations and solved it internally, which means we can look forward," says Kullashi on SvFF's website.

National team manager Yvonne Ekroth called the players and Rosengård's sports manager Therese Sjögran to a meeting to find out what happened.

- We take the phenomenon seriously, a situation we have not faced before.

It feels good that we have now had these conversations with both players and club teams, where all parties are fully aware of the seriousness of the incident as well as the rights and obligations that prevail during a gathering", says Ekroth.

- We all agree that what happened is not good, but after the talks we will now move forward in unison with the knowledge that it will never happen again".

Mukasa says it was a good conversation with the union.

"Now it feels good to focus on the future and football," she says.
