Three days after the huge disappointment of Munich, PSG started again by winning without shining in Brest (1-2), Saturday night in Ligue 1. Scorer in the 90th minute, the inevitable Kylian Mbappé allowed Paris, once again deprived of its dream of the Champions League, to get closer to an umpteenth title of champion of France. But the striker of the Blues could (should?) never have scored the 3000th achievement of his club in the first division. Mbappe had indeed escaped the red card five minutes earlier.

While, under pressure from the young Brest Félix Lemaréchal, he had just lost the ball recovered by Haris Belkebla, the PSG captain put a sweep in the Brest midfield. He fell and grabbed Mbappe's left foot. The latter then put a small kick to the Algerian international, still on the ground.

Should Kylian Mbappé have taken red on this action in your opinion? 🤔 #SB29PSG pic.twitter.com/n1JSFtkTq3

The gesture, committed under the eyes of referee Marc Bollengier, earned only a simple warning to the French international. Belkebla, who fought back, also took a yellow card. After putting his hand to his earpiece, Mr. Bollengier finally did not go to consult the VAR control screen to review the action, which could have cost the Parisian dearly.

The questions of the Brest Lees-Melou

"I have the images live, I see a kick, responded Pierre Lees-Melou, the Brest captain, on Canal +. After that, we're not going to hide behind it, we're not going to say we lost because of that. But I would like to know if all the players who would do this would have the same sanction... That is all I would like to know. I am not going to start a polemic, because we will still say that we are crying over arbitration. »

Mbappé was therefore able to stay on the pitch to score, shortly after the disputed action, the winning goal of PSG. And deprive the Finistère club, 15th in the championship, of a point that could weigh very heavily in the race to maintain at the end of the season.
