Now it's even more difficult for our team to make it to the top eight. It's been an embarrassing situation to count the number of cases, but not all hope is lost, so we have to focus on the remaining two games.

I'm a reporter.

Following the first leg against
Australia, the brinkmanship of losing even the Korea-Japan game eliminated the team's chances of qualifying for the last eight.

Of the five teams in Group B, the first and second place finishers will be given a ticket to the quarter-finals, and even if our team, which already has two losses, wins all two of its remaining games, if Japan wins the best-of-four series and Australia wins 8-1, we will only be in third place.

But there is still a glimmer of hope.

Australia's chances of beating Group B powerhouse Japan are slim, so if Australia are knocked out by the Czech Republic and lose two, we, Australia and the Czech Republic, the three teams, could be tied at 8-1.

Competing in the World Baseball Classic for the first time, the Czech Republic picked up their first win today (2th) with an 8-2 victory over China in the first leg.

There is a possibility that the Czech Republic could create an upset against Australia, so if that happens, the team that conceded fewer goals in the three teams' head-to-head record will finish second and advance to the round of eight.

For a team that has already conceded eight points against Australia, we need to win both of our remaining games, as well as win without conceding as many goals as possible.

It's not over until it's over.

We need the fighting spirit of the players not to give up.
