After Paris Saint-Germain's defeat against Bayern in the knockout stages of the Champions League, what lessons can the club learn from this fiasco?

Some Parisian figures are calling for a new workforce, starting with Christophe Galtier, in the hot seat.

This is the fifth time in seven years that PSG have bowed to Bayern Munich in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

If the rout of Paris Saint-Germain was anticipated by some fans, the rout of the club still raises questions.

The pharaonic budget of the Qataris does not change anything.

What lessons to learn and what to change?

First, according to several Parisian figures, the club needs a new workforce.

This is what Alain Giresse, a former emblematic of PSG, recommends for example.

A workforce to review

"There are a lot of things to put back in place. You cannot spend the seasons as they unfold the same way every year", he explains on Europe 1. The former club coach points out finger the weakness of the workforce, compared for example to that of Bayern Munich.

Behind the stars, average players.

"It must be a very high level workforce. Unfortunately in Paris, we need young players," he adds.

Change of coach?

The question of the future of Christophe Galtier at the head of the team also arises.

According to Jimmy Algerino, consultant for Europe 1, a new coach must be appointed.

"He did not bring what is expected of a coach: in the game, in tactics, in speech. Unfortunately, he did not know how to bring this more", confides the former player.

The medical cell is also singled out with many injured players.

But PSG, which will integrate its new training center in Poissy during the year, will benefit from a magnificent working tool.
