Chicago had the advantage just over 12 minutes into the third period, when Detroit Swede Lucas Raymond caught the puck on a rebound from teammate Robert Hägg to make it 3–3.

Just over three minutes later, Detroit took the lead, when Gustav Lindström played Dominik Kubalik.

The result stood in the final minutes and the game ended 4–3 to Detroit, which thus broke a six-game losing streak.

Both Kubalik and Raymond were named player of the match, along with Chicago's Taylor Raddysh who scored twice in the first period.

In the meeting between Minnesota and Winnipeg, Minnesota's Oskar Sundsqvist was noted for two assists.

It was the 28-year-old's second game and first point as a Minnesota player after being traded from Detroit last week.

Minnesota won the match 4–2, and thus has taken points in eleven games in a row.

Minnesota goalkeeper Marc-André Fleury made 46 saves, Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck saved 19 goal attempts.
