Six-goal spectacle in the second division: Eintracht Braunschweig has picked up an important point in the fight against relegation thanks to an impressive comeback. The Lower Saxony came in a wild exchange of blows with the direct competitor Arminia Bielefeld after interim 0:3 still to a 3:3 (2:3). Braunschweig maintained 15th place, Bielefeld is still in 16th place in the relegation play-offs.

An unfortunate own goal by Eintracht keeper Jasmin Fejzic (6th), striker Bryan Lasme (11th) and Guilherme Ramos (21st) gave Arminia, which is just behind Braunschweig (21) with 22 points, a clear lead early on. Immanuel Pherai (22./34.) and Joker Anthony Ujah (72.) save another point.

Meanwhile, Karlsruher SC continues to ride a wave of success. The Baden managed at Hansa Rostock an unchallenged 2-0 (2-0) victory and climbed by the fourth success in a row to a single-digit place in the table.

Marvin Wanitzek (16th, foul penalty) and U-20 international Paul Nebel (25th) shone as goal scorers. Hansa remains 14th in the table, but is stuck deep in the fight against relegation after the fifth defeat in the sixth game. Above all, the attack causes concern: Rostock has been the weakest offensive since the beginning of the year with only one goal.

Hannover 2023 remains even without any real sense of achievement in the calendar year 96. With coach Stefan Leitl's return to his old place of work, the Lower Saxony did not get beyond a 1:1 (0:0) against SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The cloverleaf missed the chance to catch up with Hannover in the table.

Hendrik Weydandt (54.) brought 96 in the lead, Fürth's captain Branimir Hrgota equalized with a foul penalty (57th). The focus was on referee Florian Heft: He took back a controversial penalty decision against Hannover after viewing the television images, as the contact with Ragnar Ache had not been sufficient. At the also controversial penalty after foul on Hrgota, who converted himself, Heft held even after VAR check.
