Sharjah team received a painful blow with the recent loss it suffered at home and among its fans against Al Jazira, as it caused its balance to freeze at 34 points, and fall to fifth place, and away from the lead it occupied in the past rounds, and the difference between it and Shabab Al-Ahli leaders expanded to five points.

Sharjah awaits four summit matches that could be decisive in determining their fate in the competition for the ADNOC Professional League Shield this season, and a repeat of the scenario of 2019 when it was last crowned champion.

Among the most prominent of these confrontations, which will all be away from home, is their highly anticipated match against Al Wasl in round 19 in Zabeel next Saturday, after the two teams' confrontation in the first round ended with Al Wasl winning with a clean goal. There is also a tough clash against Al Wahda on matchday 21. Sharjah also face another challenge in Round 23, when Al Ain meet again, after the two teams met in the first round in a 2-2 draw.

Round 26 will also witness an important confrontation for Sharjah against Al Nasr, who managed to snatch a precious point from Sharjah, after drawing with them at home and in front of their fans 1-1 in the first round, while the highly anticipated match between them will be played at Al Maktoum Stadium in Al Nasr Club.
