African championships and postponed matches confuse the Egyptian league

The postponed matches and the participation of Egyptian clubs in the two African championships have caused confusion in the dates of the 21st round of the domestic Premier League, which starts on Sunday.

For the first time, the matches of one round will be held within nine days, interspersed with the establishment of a postponed match for Al-Ahly with the Arab Contractors, and before the end of the nine days, the Arab Contractors will play again with Smouha in the same round after the match was postponed due to the Al-Ahly match.

Round 21 matches kick off tomorrow, Sunday, and will continue until March 13.
The tour will start with the match between Border Guards and Ceramica Cleopatra, and the tour will include four matches for Al Ahly and Zamalek in the African Champions League and two matches for Pyramids and Future in the African Confederation.

Al Ahly lead the competition with 41 points from 17 games and have 3 postponed matches, while Pyramids and Future share second place with 39 points but from 20 games.

The postponed match between Al Ahly and Arab Contractors from round 17 will be held next Tuesday.

Al Ahli seeks to correct its situation in the local competition and stop the bleeding of points after losing two points in the last minutes against the interior return to the Premier League and hopes Swiss coach Marcel Kohler Ahli to reap the three points in the first postponed matches in the hope of widening the difference with rivals for the lead Pyramids and Future.

Shawki Gharib, coach of the contractors, hopes to compensate for his recent loss to Varco by achieving a positive result against Al-Ahli that will help him compete for one of the Golden Square centers to return again to compete abroad in Africa or the Arab world.

The contractors are in sixth place with 32 points, one point behind fifth Zamalek.

Kohler fears for his players from the continuation of matches, as it is imperative for Al Ahly to face Cameroon's Coton Spor on Saturday in the African Champions League and then face the Arab Contractors three days later because of the large absences suffered by Al Ahly among its ranks due to injuries and lack of sufficient time to recover.

On Monday, two matches will be held in the 21st round, the interior will meet with its guest Ghazl Al-Mahalla, and the Egyptian Port Said will meet with its guest Vanguards of the Army.

On Tuesday, Al Ahly's match with the contractors will be held and on the same day Zamalek will meet with Esperance of Tunisia in the fourth round of the group stage of the African Champions League in Borg El Arab.

Ismaily will meet Varco next Wednesday and the same day will see two matches in the confederation, with Pyramids playing Asko Kara from Togo while Future hosts FAR team.

Al Ahly's match with Ittihad Alexandria was postponed because of its preoccupation with facing South African champions Sundowns next Friday in the fourth round of the Champions League.

Next Saturday, the contractors will meet with Smouha, and a day later Aswan will play with Future and Zamalek with ENPPI.

The round matches will conclude on Monday 13 March with Ahlibank's match with Pyramids.
