It looked really heavy for Linköping after Brynäs' two superstars Lara Stalder and Maja Nylén Persson each sent in a bag.

But after Linnea Johansson reduced a penalty at the end of the first period, a little hope was lit and it became even bigger as the LHC goals fell in at a rapid rate at the beginning of the second period.

- I think we come out strong in the second period and put a lot of pressure on them when we get 4-2, but then we let them in a little too easily when we get away from the simple and fast game that we know we need to play for to have a chance against Brynäs, says Linköping's team captain Madelen Haug Hansen to SVT Sport.

In connection with LHC's 4–2 goal, Brynäs coach Filip Eriksson felt that something needed to be done, so he replaced goalkeeper Felicia Frank and sent Amanda Johansson in between the posts instead.

And it seems to have been exactly the medicine Brynäs needed.

After that, they took hold of the baton again and just over five minutes later they had taken the lead back.

- It felt a little nervous at first, but then we make three quick and have the lead before the third period and it was nice, says Johansson to SVT Sport.

Linköping did their best to make a match of it all in the third period, but in the end were forced to see themselves defeated 7–4.
