His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, yesterday witnessed the launch of the fourth edition of the Government Games, which comes in partnership with the official partner DP World, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council.

His Highness pointed out that the holding of the fourth edition of the Government Games comes as a translation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to build qualified capabilities to bring Dubai to a global leadership position in all fields, and to enhance Dubai's position on the map of major international sporting events. His Highness welcomed the guests participating in the fourth edition of the Government Games from around the world, which will continue until Sunday, praising the competitive level and high performance during their participation in the "Cities Challenge", and their great efforts to be able to present the distinguished levels in which they appeared (today), which reflects their spirit of challenge, determination and determination to achieve the best results, and their commitment to developing well-thought-out strategies and implementing them practically and collectively within a competitive sports framework to win this new category.

His Highness added that the excellence of the organizational level of the tournament is evident since its inception, which is evidence of the development of the government games year after year, and their expansion in quantity and quality, not only in terms of organizational, but also in terms of the level of the participating teams that are keen to develop their level to return every year to participate and compete in all categories, within this annual event that has given itself a distinguished position on the calendar of international sporting events.

The activities of the first day included the participation of 28 teams competing in seven challenges within the qualifiers of the confrontations of government agencies teams at the state level for men. Meanwhile, the 'City Challenge' saw 27 international cities compete in pursuit of the title of 'City Challenge Champion'.

The fourth edition of the Government Games was sponsored by a number of other government and private entities, including Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat), the Gold Sponsor, and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), the Silver Sponsor, for the fourth consecutive year, in partnership with First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du), Lululemon, Dubai Media Incorporated and Arab Radio Network (ARN).
