The matches between Bologna and Inter for a couple of seasons belong to those challenges that always reserve great surprises. Last year in the first leg, on 18 September 2021, the Nerazzurri won 6-1 with a double by Edin Džeko. In the second leg, in the match postponed to April 27 and decisive for the Scudetto race, Inter lost 2-1. On November 9 at San Siro another 6-1 for Simone Inzaghi's team. It is therefore difficult to say what today's race will hold for us.

Here Inter

Inter are coming off Wednesday's 1-0 win against Porto in the Champions League and two wins and a draw in the league: 3-1 against Udinese, 0-0 at Sampdoria, 1-0 in the derby. Inzaghi's team in the standings is second with 47 points, 15 less than the first, Napoli, and three more than the third, Roma. The goal of the season is to qualify for the Champions League, keeping the five points behind the fifth, Lazio.

Here Bologna

In the league Bologna comes from two wins and a defeat: a 1-2 success at Sampdoria, the 0-1 suffered at home against Monza and the 1-2 victory in Florence. In the standings, Thiago Motta's team is seventh on a par with Juventus at 32 points and therefore today will have to give their best to qualify for the Conference League. Coach Thiago Motta, in the press conference ahead of the game, noted: "In the first round we held until the first 25 minutes. We did well in the offensive and defensive phase, we shot on goal, we kept the ball and alternated short play and long play. Then we lost the thread and they took advantage of it. They are strong and we have not been a team. But every game is a different story and on Sunday we will face a good team giving our best, doing what we did during the week. We had a great week and we trained well."
