H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, witnessed part of the sixth stage of the UAE Tour 2023, and was keen to welcome all riders participating in the race, as they passed through the most prominent landmarks of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
This came during the penultimate stage "Aldar Stage", which extended for 166 km, and started from Yas Island, "Warner Brother", passing through the distinctive landmarks of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and ending with the breakwater on the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
His Highness praised the role of the UAE Tour in highlighting the assets of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which confirm its ability to host and organize various major events and championships, and enhance its position as a global center for cycling.
His Highness launched Bike Abu Dhabi in November 2021 to encourage members of the community to practice cycling, as well as support the emirate's ambition to become a leading destination in hosting international cycling events for amateurs and professionals.
His Highness was accompanied by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Aldar Properties, and Arif Hamad Al Awani, Secretary General of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
