Athletes confirmed that the influx of residents and foreigners to the clubs of the First Division of football, and experienced players coming from the Professional League who are over 33 years old, harms the development of UAE football, and will have severe consequences, most notably the decline in talent scouting, the decline in the technical return of the teams of the age stages, the decline in the level of competition between the teams of the «first», and the depletion of the financial resources of clubs because they are forced to contract with players with high salaries.

In their interview with Emirates Today, they called for the need for the Football Association to intervene to develop regulations and legislation regulating work, to avoid the problems expected to occur, especially since the number of experienced players in each team ranges between four and five players, which means that in addition to foreigners and residents, the place of the talented player will disappear.

The coach of the reserve team in Dibba Al-Fujairah Club currently and the first team previously, Mohammed Al-Khadim: «The migration of professional league players to the first division, and the presence of a large number of resident players, a big problem that must be solved», explaining that «the technical levels of adults are much less than the talented players rising from the teams of the age stages and coming from the reserve league, all of whom are no more than 23 years old».

He added: «Some clubs reassure experienced players more than talented, and rely on the ready player, which makes them prefer experienced players to talent, and this problem is not new, but old and consulted for the absence of a binding list after the registered players who participate in the matches, and I am confident that organizing it will bring outstanding benefits to national teams, including determining the age allowed to participate, rationing the number of foreigners and residents, encouraging club administrations financially and organizationally to overcome this problem, and encouraging the teams of the age stages to develop themselves with the presence of I hope the players will join the first team."

He continued: «This issue needs media and continuous support, to highlight the talented, and enhance confidence in them and that they will be the stars of the future, and most importantly in all of that a binding list of technical committees that support talented players, as well as altruism of experienced players gives the opportunity to others».

For his part, the former CEO of the Football Company for Fujairah Club, Abdullah bin Qanoon: «The first division league and competitions of the age stages need to enact new regulations that address many of the current failures, in order to contribute to giving the talented citizen player the opportunity to play, and also benefit from residents and foreigners joining the team at the same time», and said to «Emirates Today»: «There is a fundamental problem related to the inclusion of clubs for a number of players between the ages of 30 and 35 years to involve them in the matches, while There are young talented players who are waiting for the opportunity, but they don't get it because of the number of residents and foreigners."

He continued: «We are with the positive benefits that contribute to the signing of experienced players and resident and foreign players, but this should not be at the expense of talented players, and therefore based on the goal of supporting UAE football and addressing negative matters, I propose legislation or enactment of a regulation obliging clubs to involve three players who are over the age of 23 during the match other than the goalkeeper, and not to participate in the match more than one player who is over 32 years, and that the upper limit for foreigners and residents Three players will participate in the match, as well as learning about the best international practices to be applied in the age stages." He concluded: «These things can be applied to the teams and competitions of the age stages similarly».

In turn, Omar Al Hammadi, an academic and international lecturer at the Football Association, stressed that «the flow of players from the professional league to the first division of older players, harms the interest of UAE football, as it reduces the opportunities for the participation of talented players, and negatively affects the development of competitions of the age stages, which is not limited to them, but the large number of resident players who are also largely present in the first division teams».

Al Hammadi said: «We all agree that experienced players have an important role in developing talented players for contact and transfer experience, but this should not contribute to the cessation of their participation in matches, in the presence of players over the age of 35 years».

"We need broad amendments to the regulations of those allowed to participate, regulating the number of players registered in the broad list, and also the start of the match and the substitutions during it."

He added: «I can describe it as a problem that exists in the first division, and this problem is caused by the main administrations of first-class clubs who seek to contract with senior players in their names regardless of their giving on the field or their production, so we find that all clubs before the start of the season are signing experienced players, and ignore talented or emerging players from the age stages who graduated in their clubs, to get the opportunity to represent the club with the first team who, colliding with the barrier of contracting the departments of their clubs with A large number of older or experienced players, foreigners and residents, so we need to put a condition on having a certain number of young or talented players in the main team roster, reduce the number of foreigners and residents, and register the largest number of talented players."

The number of senior players in each team is between 4 and 5 players.
