Miki, who became the first Japanese athlete to win a gold medal in the parallel giant slalom held on the 19th, passed the qualifying round in 2nd place and advanced to the final tournament where the top 16 competed.



In the first round of the final tournament, she faced 25-year-old Italy's Lucia Dalmasso, who finished second in the parallel giant slalom at the World Cup in January. After that, his speed slowed down and he was unable to maintain his lead, losing by 0.89 seconds.



The winner was Switzerland's Julie Zock, and it was her second gold medal in two competitions.



Among the other Japanese competitors, Chika Takeuchi, who won the silver medal in the parallel giant slalom at the Sochi Games, finished 17th and did not advance to the finals.



In the men's event, Masaki Shiba, who participated in the Pyeongchang Games, was disqualified.
