The president of Barcelona, Joan Laporta, has spoken for the first time since the Negreira scandal broke out.
In an act held at the Camp Nou together with the Mossos D'Esquadra, he has announced an external investigation, entrusted to a law firm, on what he has called on several occasions as an "arbitral technical consultancy service".
"Together with our compliance department, we have decided to outsource the investigation of these events. An external lawyer, together with his team, is carrying out a series of actions, always in coordination with our compliance area, which will result in an investigation independent, rigorous and excellent, just as Barça deserves", said the president, who has harshly attacked Javier Tebas, whom he has accused of being "obsessed" with Barcelona.
