Halfway into the first period, the opening goal came from Marcus Westfält and just 30 seconds later, fullback Max Lindroth filled in and made it 2-0.
3-0 came off just the speed just under a minute later from 19-year-old Lucas Forsell.
- It looks good, better than previous matches and now we get some dividends too.
We are careful about rebounds and come with more speed, said goal scorer Lindroth to C More after the first period.
However, Timrå, led by Jonathan Dahlén, did not want to give up.
Dahlén reduced before the first period was over and also made it 3-2 at the beginning of the second.
But Färjestad would make another small move.
Team captain Linus Johansson extended the lead in the power play and Patrik Lundh made it 5-2 in the middle of the act.
Towards the end, Joakim Nygård was able to score 6-2 for a clear Färjestad victory.
