2000,92 cyclists compete for the Spinneys <> Challenge title in Dubai

The 13th edition of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycling Challenge, which is part of the UCI agenda and supported by the Dubai Sports Council in cooperation with the UCI, will kick off at six next Sunday morning. More than 2000,11 cyclists of all nationalities and ages from inside and outside the country in 95 age groups will compete over a distance of 4.<> kilometres.

The tour will start from Dubai International Stadium in Dubai Sports City, where riders will pass through Dubai's most famous attractions including Jumeirah Lake Towers, Emirates Hills, Jumeirah Golf Estates, Greens Residential Complex, Expo City Dubai, where riders will cross in a counterclockwise direction, Global Village, Arabian Ranches and Dubai Autodrome, ending the race at the same starting place inside Dubai International Stadium in Dubai Sports City.
Twenty per cent of participants in 20 age groups of the race will advance to the final of the Gran Fondue World Race, which will be held this year in Glasgow, Scotland, from August 11 to 13.

The thirteenth edition includes the Amateur Racing (Outride), which allows non-professionals to participate in a shorter course of 38 kilometers. The amateur race starts from the main race line at Dubai International Stadium, through the Expo City track, and reaches the finish line. Also held today is the Junior Bicycle Race designed for children.
