Al Ain team snatched a difficult victory yesterday from its host Kalba in the 17th round of the ADNOC Professional League, as it reached the 34th point after winning 2-3, and benefited from Sharjah's 1-0 loss to Khorfakkan, to become Al Ain third on goal difference from Sharjah despite their equal number of points, while Al Wasl is in the runner-up with 35 points, and Shabab Al Ahli is the leader with 36 points.

Al Ain opened the score in the 21st minute after Caio took advantage of a defensive error by Kalba players. Kalba succeeded in scoring the equalizer through Habib Al-Fardan with a header in the 47th minute.

Kalba almost scored another goal had it not been for Leandro's shot over the crossbar in the 67th minute. Al Ain scored its second goal through Sofiane Rahimi with a ball on the bird in the 81st minute, and Kalba equalized with a penalty kick, carried out by Sisaldo in the 90+4 minute. But Laba Kodjoe led Al Ain to victory with a goal in the last minute (90+8).
