Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews was back on the ice last night after missing five games due to the knee injury he suffered against the New York Rangers on January 25th.

And he delivered right away by being part of the prelude to William Nylander's lightning-quick 1-0 goal against Chicago.

Matthews won the first draw of the match straight back to TJ Brodie who played over to fellow back Morgan Rielly who in turn free played an onrushing Nylander.

Free with Petr Mrazek, "Lill-Nyllet" was ice cold.

Then it rolled on for Toronto against the table jumbo.

Rasmus Sandin sent in 2-0 just over eight minutes later and after 11.21 it was time for Matthews to take his place on the score sheet, played by Nylander and Sandin.

In the end, Toronto won the game 5–2 after Nylander and Matthews set up Conor Timmins for the final goal.

- It feels like he's everywhere on the ice and it's amazing to see how consistently he delivers.

He's good in every game, moves his feet and it's fun to watch.

It's a luxury to play with him, says Matthews about Nylander.
