Formula 1 will find its drivers on March 5 with the Bahrain Grand Prix for a highly anticipated season.

23 Grands Prix will punctuate this season which will be marked by a fierce duel between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

The 2023 Formula 1 season will open on March 3 at the Sakhir circuit for the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The championship will close with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 26.

In total, 23 Grand Prix will punctuate this season, a record.

Returned to the menu in 2018 after ten years of absence, the Grand Prix de France will be, this year, absent subscribers.

He was not retained by the leaders of Formula 1.

New this year, six Grand Prix will take place with the "sprint race" format.

For this type of race, the classic qualifications (time trial) are brought forward from Saturday to Friday and the results obtained by the pilots will define the starting grid for a sprint race of around 100 km (i.e. 30 minutes) the Saturday.

The classification of the sprint race in turn determines the Grand Prix grid on Sunday.

Unlike the classic Grand Prix, the sprint race takes place without a mandatory pit stop.
