Today, Russian forces bombed Krivoy Rog Airport in the Dnepropetrovsk Oblast, southeastern Ukraine.

RIA Novosti quoted a military source as saying: “Russian forces bombed the airport after detecting Ukrainian military aviation activity there,” noting that two explosions rocked the airport after Russian forces detected fighter and helicopter activity at the airport.

Ukrainian media reported earlier today that a state of air alert had been declared in the Sumy, Poltava, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk and Nikolaev regions.

The Kremlin spokesman has repeatedly stressed that Russian forces do not attack residential buildings or civilian institutions and facilities.
