New York-SANA
EU High Commissioner for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell expressed his conviction that there is no possibility of returning to the agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea.
Borrell was quoted by TASS news agency as saying during a press conference in New York yesterday: "There seems to be no possibility of reaching an agreement.
Borrell added that the Russian side "puts forward the conditions that were on the negotiating table previously, but the resumption of the grain deal does not depend on those conditions."
Borrell said EU sanctions "do not affect the export of food and fertilizers."
Russia withdrew from the agreement to export Ukrainian grains through the Black Sea last July due to the failure of the other parties to comply with their obligations stipulated in the agreement towards the Russian side.
