The Emirates Red Crescent Authority expanded the scope of its relief operations and humanitarian programs for those affected by the cyclone, torrential rains and floods in Libya, and provided more assistance, including food, shelter, health parcels, first aid supplies and other necessary needs, to thousands of survivors and displaced people in a number of areas in eastern Libya. The delegation of the Commission, which is currently on the Libyan scene, continues its humanitarian efforts to reduce the repercussions of the disaster, provide greater care to those affected by distributing more aid to them, and meet their necessary needs at the present time.

The delegation held a series of meetings and meetings with the Libyan Red Crescent Society and the competent authorities to coordinate the aid process on the ground, and to work together to reach areas that still face logistical complications due to the extensive damage caused to them and their infrastructure. The Emirates Red Crescent Authority continued to conduct relief shipments from Abu Dhabi to Libya through the Emirates Airlift, and the Authority's warehouses in Abu Dhabi and Dubai are witnessing a tireless movement to collect and prepare food and health parcels, relief and shelter materials in preparation for sending them to our brothers in Libya.

The Authority stressed that its relief operations and humanitarian programs will continue until the ordeal of the hurricane is over, and will spare no effort to do so, based on its responsibility towards those affected, and in commitment to its universal humanitarian principles.
