The Emirates Health Services (EHS) and CareAI have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to employ generative AI technology to implement CareAI's patient room monitoring system.

The MoU was signed by the Director General of the Foundation, Dr. Yousef Mohammed Al Serkal, and the CEO of Care Eye, Shakri Tolity.

The MoU includes the implementation of the "care.ai" system in EHS's health facilities, which will achieve advanced clinical outcomes for patient care through the use of virtual care technologies and virtual nursing platforms with the help of obstetric artificial intelligence technologies in various health facilities of the organization, including emergency departments, operating rooms, intensive care units, newborns, and others.

The care.ai system contributes to the classification of patients' cases, mental health verification, infection prevention and control, and support medical staff in achieving the necessary response and speed to complete tasks related to patient care and care protocols, and make sound clinical decisions about their cases. The patient room monitoring system adopts the highest standards of privacy and security in relation to patient data, as it is subject to security compliance with the organization's policies, and the data of the platform and the services provided comply with the information and communication technology laws and cybersecurity standards in the country.

The agreement includes the provision of virtual care technologies and virtual nursing platforms with the help of obstetric artificial intelligence technologies, operating room systems, intensive care units and neonatal units, in the classification of patients' cases, mental health verification, infection prevention and control, evaluation of the quality of hand hygiene in accordance with international guidelines, adherence to personal protective equipment, and support of medical staff in achieving the response and speed necessary to accomplish tasks related to patient care.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Health Services, Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, said that the signing of the memorandum comes for the purpose of employing obstetric artificial intelligence technologies in the field of healthcare, as this cooperation with Care AI contributes to improving the system of monitoring patients' rooms and ensuring the provision of safe and effective health care for them.
