The 47th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Crescent and Red Cross Organization kicked off today in the Qatari capital, Doha, with the participation of the President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent Khaled Hboubati, and the Secretary-General of the Organization, Khaled Erksoussi.
Participants in the work of the 47th session of the Commission will discuss the response of the Arab Organization and its members to the disaster of the devastating earthquake that struck the region last February, and the humanitarian situation in the Arab countries that were exposed to disasters.
The two-day conference will be attended by heads and secretaries of Arab Crescent and Red Cross bodies, associations and organizations, while the agenda of the Commission includes the election of a secretary-general of the Arab Organization and the discussion of reports related to its work.
