The young man (Mohammed - Khaleeji - 37 years old) suffered from health problems in the right eye, and weakness in vision two years ago, due to a defect in the work of the cornea, which led to his inability to see clearly, with chronic pain and headache, which necessitated his admission to the emergency department at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain some time ago.

Doctors following Mohammed's case confirmed the need for surgery as soon as possible to transplant a cornea to the right eye, otherwise he will become permanently blind.

They stated that the cost of corneal transplantation at Tawam Governmental Hospital is 30,263 dirhams, noting that the patient's financial means do not allow him to secure the amount.

Therefore, Muhammad appeals to good people to help him manage the costs of the operation, because he is afraid of being blind.

According to the medical report issued by Tawam Hospital, the patient, Mohammed, suffers from weakness in both eyes, and because his right eye is more damaged, he needs urgent surgery to transplant a cornea for it, as he suffers from a disease in it.

Suffering

The patient «Mohammed» told «Emirates Today», the story of his suffering with the disease, saying: «Two years ago I felt that I could not see clearly, and then I went to one of the eyeglasses stores, and conducted an eye examination, where it was found that I have a difference in the degree of vision between the right and left eyes, and I have to use glasses».

The patient added: «After I put the glasses, my vision improved a little, but after a while I began to feel a chronic headache, and I took some painkillers, which may do something, but on the contrary I felt that my head would explode from pain».

Examinations

"My wife immediately took me to the nearest hospital (Tawam Hospital), where I was admitted to the emergency department, and the attending physician, who examined me, decided to stay a day in the hospital for medical tests and analyzes, and to find out the cause of the headache."

He said that «he was given some medicines and painkillers, and then the doctor asked him if he had health problems, and he told him that he had poor vision, and then the doctor asked for an eye examination to make sure that there were no health problems in them».

The patient pointed out that he «remained in the hospital, and all the tests and analyzes requested by the doctor were performed, which showed that he does not suffer from any health problems, other than a disease in the right eye, and this is what was causing headaches repeatedly». "The doctor stressed the need to perform corneal transplantation surgery for the sick eye, otherwise I will go blind in the near term."

The patient reported that the doctor told him that the cost of the operation, amounting to 30 thousand and 263 dirhams, and must be performed as soon as possible, pointing out that this amount is large for him, due to his weak financial situation, and that he is unable to provide even a small part of the costs of the operation.

Lonely breadwinner

The patient explained «Mohammed» that his family consists of three members, and that he is the only breadwinner for them, pointing out that he works in one of the private entities in Al Ain with a salary of 5000 dirhams, of which he pays 1800 dirhams for car installments, and the rest of the salary for the requirements of daily life.

The patient appealed to good people and people with compassionate hearts to help him manage the costs of the operation, and to save his life from permanent blindness.
