Various media outlets reported on Egyptian border soldier Mohamed Salah Ibrahim, who died in an exchange of gunfire that also killed three Israeli soldiers and wounded two others.

The channel "Arab" in a report on its website, that the late soldier Mohamed Salah Ibrahim was 23 years old, according to his personal account on the social networking site "Facebook" and the accounts of his friends who mourned him on his page, stressing that he did not have political affiliations and was fond of travel, travel, photography and drawing, and repeatedly expressed his love for Palestine, saying, "God is with Palestine."

The report said the soldier was living with his mother and two brothers in the Ain Shams area of eastern Cairo and was working as an "alumetal technician and carpenter" to support his family after his father died in a car accident.

In addition, quoted channel "Sky News" for "Channel 12" Israeli television, on Monday, that Israel returned the body of the recruit to Egypt, within the framework of the two countries' joint handling of the incident, and explained that this is due to Israel's desire to maintain Egyptian confidence and the lack of a security reason for Israel to keep the body.

For its part, the channel "Russia Today", that the family of the late Egyptian recruit Mohamed Salah, buried his body after receiving it, and quoted one of his relatives as saying that he will receive condolences on the street where he was staying in Ain Shams on Tuesday.

The late conscript began his military service in June last year as a police officer in the Central Security on the border with the Palestinian territories in the North Sinai Strip.

The Egyptian armed forces had announced in a statement that one of the security elements tasked with securing the international border line, chased drug smuggling elements, and during the chase, the security member breached the insurance barrier, and exchanged fire, which led to the death of three members of the Israeli insurance personnel, and the injury of two others, in addition to the death of the Egyptian insurance individual during the exchange of fire.

The statement added that all search, inspection and insurance measures have been taken for the area, and legal measures have been taken regarding the incident, expressing sincere condolences to the families of the deceased, and wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
