The Czech magazine "People and States" specialized in tourism published a video investigation about the soap industry in the city of Aleppo.

The Czech orientalist Dr. Lenka Hrabalova, who prepared the investigation, pointed out that Aleppo soap is the oldest in the world, and that its industry in Aleppo has recovered after the damage caused during the war, and that this soap has turned into a symbol of the city, which is an important part of its industry and economy.

"Although the Romans knew soap, Europeans only discovered it during the Crusades in the Middle East," she said, noting that it is laurel oil that makes Aleppo soap famous in the world.
