Sweida-SANA

Young girl Jana Abu Fakhr signed her first collection of stories entitled "I will visit the world", during a ceremony hosted by the Palace of Culture in Sweida, which included a choir by the "Pulse" band, and an open dialogue session on the collection of stories.

The collection, issued by the Syrian General Book Authority, consists of 64 pages, and includes a variety of stories that include characters who speak in the tongue of animals, or in the tongue of grandfather and grandmother, and deals with topics and lessons about bullying, encouraging reading and alienation, helping others, love and others.

Abu Fakhr also explained that all the stories are a figment of her imagination, and that she drew the drawings herself.

Abu Fakhr expressed her happiness to complete the story with the encouragement of her family, and the teaching staff in her school, and her keenness to return the proceeds to the children of a social welfare home in Sweida, as the idea came from the story of the archenemy that she wrote to sympathize with children, especially that care and containment create a creative child, and that every child in this world innovates in at least one thing if he receives the required care.

In turn, the writer and poet Samia Azzam presented a critical reading of the collection of stories, expressing her admiration for what was written by a young girl who carries a solid, clear and easy language, carries an aesthetic dimension, enjoys initiative, bold and adventurous ideas, and follows the approach of love and peace.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Welfare Home Association in Suwayda, Salim Ghanem, noted the allocation of the proceeds of the group to the children of the home, which reflects a state of excellence at the level of thought, literature and childhood, hoping that the culture of education will spread on such ideas that develop the state of literature, and encourage giving.

It is worth noting that the ten-year-old girl Jana Abu Fakhr was honored in late March by the Minister of Education for her excellence and achievement in this group, in addition to her participation last year in the Arab Reading Challenge initiative with her ambition to obtain an advanced position in the challenge this year after qualifying recently at the level of Syria.
