The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its forces carried out a missile strike last night that hit the air defense systems of the Ukrainian regime, which were protecting vital military infrastructure in Ukraine.

"Last night the Russian Air Force carried out a strike with high-precision long-range weapons targeting enemy air defense systems protecting vital sites pivotal to Ukraine's military infrastructure," the ministry said in its daily report on the progress of the special military operation, stressing that all identified targets were hit.

The ministry explained that Russian forces eliminated about 360 Ukrainian soldiers during the past day, including 60 on the Kobyansk axis, 70 on the Krasny-Liman axis, 50 on the Donetsk axis, 150 on the southern Donetsk and Zaporozhye axes, and 30 on the Kherson axis.

The ministry said that the losses of the Ukrainian forces amounted to 3 Grad rocket launchers, D-30 howitzers, 6 D-20 howitzers, 3 Masta B howitzers, 2 Gvozdika self-propelled guns, 3 American-made M777 guns, an American-made self-propelled gun and a Polish-made Crab self-propelled gun.

Russian forces hit 96 Ukrainian artillery units at firing sites, troops and military equipment in 73 regions, and destroyed an ammunition depot of the 103rd Regional Defense Brigade in the Kharkov region, the ministry said.

The ministry noted that Russian forces shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft in the Kherson region, destroyed 29 Ukrainian drones and intercepted 8 rocket-propelled grenades from Himars launchers, and one anti-radar Harm missile.

According to the ministry, a total of 431 aircraft, 235 helicopters, 4436,424 drones, 9356 anti-aircraft missile systems, 1108,4971 tanks and other armored vehicles, 10598,<> rocket launchers, <>,<> pieces of field artillery and mortars and <>,<> special military vehicles have been destroyed.
