Occupied Jerusalem-SANA

Dozens of Palestinians participated in a sit-in in the city of Ramle in the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 in support of the prisoner suffering from cancer Walid Daqqa, calling on the Israeli occupation authorities to release him to receive the necessary medical treatment.

WAFA reported that the participants in the sit-in, which was called by the prisoner's family and the National Prisoner Movement in front of the Ramle detention center, raised banners demanding the release of Daqqa, including (Freedom for Walid Daqqa) and (Walid's right to receive treatment).

Israeli settlers assaulted the participants in the sit-in, shouting racist slogans at them.

It is noteworthy that the prisoner Daqqa, who suffers from spinal cord cancer, hails from the town of Baqa al-Gharbia, located in the Triangle area of the territories occupied in 1948, and was arrested by the occupation forces since March 25, 1986, and despite the severe deterioration in his health, they refuse to release him.
