The Syrian Social Nationalist Party in Lebanon commemorated today the Day of Resistance and Liberation with two mass celebrations in the town of Dhour Shweir and in the House of Resala Hall in the southern suburbs of Beirut under the slogan "Past to Win", in the presence of large crowds of Lebanese national and partisan forces, the representative of the Syrian embassy in Lebanon, Abeer Salloum, the representative of the Arab National Guard, Issam Fakhouri, a large crowd of political, partisan and social actors, and Lebanese and Palestinian personalities.

The head of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, Asaad Hardan, said in a speech during the celebration that the twenty-fifth of May is the fruit of blood made and sacrifices made, and the summary of the accumulation of struggle in which living wills, proud souls and qualitative actions were mobilized with the underlining of heroic epics, stressing the continued readiness of the resistance and its readiness to achieve victory.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Tashnaq Party, Lebanese MP Agoub Bakradonian, stressed that the Liberation and Resistance Day is an occasion to commemorate the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for freedom and dignity, considering that the resistance is another face of one people struggling to regain their rights and future.

For his part, the Qatari secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party in Lebanon, Ali Hijazi, said in a speech: "The resistance sacrificed for every Lebanese and every Arab and recorded in its dictionary a historic victory embodied in the defeat of the Zionist enemy in 2000."

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Union Party, Lebanese MP Hassan Murad, stressed that Syria is the beating heart of Arabism, and its return to the Arab League is an essential step necessary to promote joint Arab action and achieve any kind of integration.

Zaher al-Khatib, secretary-general of the Workers' League, praised the heroism achieved by the resistance.

Maj. Gen. Fathi Abu al-Ardat, secretary-general of Fatah and the PLO factions in Lebanon, called for the lifting of the unjust siege on Syria.

Mohammed Saeed al-Khansa, a member of Hizbullah's political council, also stressed the importance of Syria's return to playing its pivotal Arab role.

Sheikh Ali Abu Shaheen, a member of Islamic Jihad's political bureau, said the Palestinian resistance is currently witnessing a real shift in its upward trajectory towards victory.

In turn, a member of the presidency of the Amal Movement, Lebanese MP Qabalan Qabalan, praised the makers of the May 25 victory among the martyrs, wounded and prisoners in every Lebanese or Palestinian movement or party.

For his part, the vice president of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party, Wael al-Hassaniya, said that Syria was the protector and sponsor of the resistance, so it was targeted by the global terrorist war, stressing that Syria continued to be a haven for the resistance.
