In a drama, this would be the climax: The Prime Minister must appear before the committee of inquiry in the state parliament and provide information about his role in the Nuremberg Museum of the Future case. Opened two years ago in a prime location in the old town, the Deutsches Museum shows where the journey of mankind could go in a branch there.

The vain sunshine was followed by a downer, because the Court of Auditors complained that too much taxpayers' money might have been spent. A monthly rent of 230,000 euros, which the Free State pays, is very high, especially since the term of the contract is twenty-five years. This view was echoed by the opposition and certainly by many voters. A committee of inquiry was set up and expert opinions were ordered. However, these did not turn out as the opposition had hoped: already expensive, but not too expensive, they said. As a result, the quality of the expert opinions was questioned. Of course, all this has to do with the fact that Markus Söder, who was born in Nuremberg, put pressure on him in his former role as finance minister to ensure that the project, which he is the source of the idea, is implemented quickly. File notes provide sufficient evidence of this. So what?

When Söder now had to answer questions in the state parliament, he chose the good-humored forward defense. Yes, it was his idea, this "awesome project", and no, he had nothing to do with the choice of location, that was solely a matter for the Deutsches Museum and its general director Wolfgang Heckl, he only took note of it. In the end, it came out "what Heckl wanted, not what Söder meant". For the rest, "all allegations and suspicions are refuted".

What the opposition smells is "nonsense". Naturally, she is not satisfied, especially since the Prime Minister used various memory gaps as a joker. The landlord, the real estate entrepreneur Gerd Schmelzer, who donates to the CSU, i.e. serves a procedure that has been established for decades, can be pleased. Söder called it "completely absurd" to bring party donations in connection with the rental. Bavaria has a long tradition with baroque world theatre, and unfortunately also with smear theatre. The investigation will continue until July (retarding element), then the final reports will follow: solution or disaster. Renting in Nuremberg will turn out like the Hornberg shooting.
