The Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, said during a meeting with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, that the relations between the two countries are deep-rooted, ancient and good.

Khamenei said during the meeting, which took place today in the presence of President Ebrahim Raisi: "We believe in expanding relations between the two countries in all fields, because they meet the interests of both parties, and it is important to follow the talks seriously until tangible results are reached and communication is finally expanded."

Khamenei stressed the danger of the presence of the Zionist entity in the region, saying, "The policy of the Zionist entity and its supporters is to create strife and undermine peace in the region, so all countries in the region should pay attention to this matter."

Referring to Oman's statement about Egypt's readiness to resume relations with Iran, Khamenei stressed that Iran welcomes this position, noting that it has no problem in this regard.

Khamenei expressed his hope that the Islamic Ummah will regain its glory with the expansion of relations between its countries, and that the energies and facilities of Islamic countries will benefit all Islamic nations and countries.

For his part, the Sultan of Oman expressed his support for expanding relations between the two countries and between all countries in the region, noting that the talks in Tehran touched on various areas of cooperation.

"We hope that the talks on relations between the two countries will continue and expand further so that their practical results are clear to both sides," said Haitham bin Sultan.

Iran and Oman signed yesterday 4 documents for cooperation in the economic, investment, free zones and energy fields between the two countries.
