It was a little over 6 o'clock this Monday morning when a large geyser of water escaped from the ground of the boulevard Volclair, which connects the boulevard Henri-Fréville to the Triangle, in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). According to firefighters, the water was "ten or even fifteen meters high" on the public road. Alerted, they tried to control the major leak with the support of the water service.

It would a priori be a pipe break that would have caused this major leak. The network was cut upstream to limit losses and carry out repairs. It is not yet known how many households are without water.
