North Korea, which announced the
launch of the satellite, is likely to use the Tongchang-ri launch site in North Pyongan Province, but our military authorities have said that the main body of the rocket is not yet visible at the launch site. It is estimated that it is currently in the stage of being transferred to trains.

North Korea's moves were examined by Kim Tae-hoon, a reporter specializing in national defense.

The main body of a long-range rocket for launching satellites is usually manufactured at the Sanyon-dong Ordnance Plant in Pyongyang.

In order to prevent damage to the equipment, it is loaded onto trains and transported at ultra-low speed to Dongchang-ri, Cheolsan-gun, Pyeongbuk.

A military official said, "The body of the rocket has not yet been identified at the Dongchang-ri launch site."

That is, it is assumed that it is currently in the stage of train transport.

Since North Korea has declared that it can launch from 31:0 the day after tomorrow (1st), it seems that the train was almost close to Tongchang-ri.

[Jong-Woo Shin/Senior Analyst, Korea Defense and Security Forum: As the launch is imminent, it is likely that most of the rocket parts have been moved to Dongchang-ri, and full-scale assembly is expected to take place when the rocket body arrives.]

When the main body of the rocket arrives at Dongchang-ri, it will be placed at the launch facility in the order of the first, second, third stage, and satellite stage for final assembly.

It is also of interest which launch facility will be used in Dongchang-ri.

North Korea is building a new launch facility near the facility where it fired long-range rockets in 2 and 3.

If this rocket is equipped with a different and larger Paektu engine than the previous one, it is possible that it will be launched from a new facility tailored to it.

It is assumed that the satellite to be mounted on the rocket will be a reconnaissance military satellite.

On the 2012th, North Korea's Korean Central News Agency reported a map of Kim Jong-un's site, drawing attention to the reconnaissance satellite that was released in real life, but it is unclear how much it performs.

Our military plans to prepare for the possibility of North Korean rocket debris falling into our territorial waters and territory, and at the same time, if the debris falls into the West Sea, we will dispatch a ship to collect it immediately.
