The Council of Arab Economic Unity decided to unanimously approve the holding of its next 58th session in Syria, in response to the request of the President of the Arab Union for Productive Families and Handicrafts and Traditional Industries, Mohammed Abdul Basit Al-Qadah.

The Arab Union for Productive Families explained in a statement, a copy of which was received by SANA, that during the work of the 57th session of the Unity Council held today in the Jordanian capital, Amman, with the participation of the Union, and the presence of the heads and representatives of specialized Arab unions, it was approved to hold the 58th session of the Unity Council in Syria.

The statement pointed out that the Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, Mohammadi Ahmed Al-Ni, stressed the importance of Syria's presence in the Council of the Arab League and its competent organizations and organs, expressing during the working session to discuss the agenda of the 57th session of the Council of Unity the hope that Syria's return and the resumption of its participation in meetings will contribute to strengthening joint Arab action, and benefiting from its long and ancient experience in this field.

Al-Ni pointed out that Syria's presence in the Council of Arab Economic Unity and in its specialized quality unions has not been interrupted, praising in this regard the efforts of the President of the Arab Union for Productive Families and Handicrafts and Traditional Industries in representing Syria at the Arab level.

For his part, Al-Kadah expressed his thanks to the Council and the existing unions, explaining that all efforts will be made in coordination with the Unity Council to hold a successful session of the Council that includes various activities and events.

After the approval decision, the current president of the 57th session of the Council of Arab Economic Unity, Younis Al-Khataybeh, President of the Arab Trainers Union, announced that after the end of the current session, the presidency of the next session of the Arab federations will be transferred to the next president of the session, Mohamed Abdel Basset Al-Gdah, President of the Arab Union for Productive Families and Handicrafts and Traditional Industries.
