Opinion poll suggests Erdogan wins second round of Turkish elections

A recent poll conducted by the Turkish Research Foundation suggested that outgoing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will decide the second round of presidential elections in his favor.

Hurriyet newspaper reported that more than 3000,26 people from <> provinces took part in Friday's survey.

She added that citizens aged 18 years and above, who are eligible to vote and who reside in Turkey were surveyed.

According to the results of the poll, Erdogan will be re-elected with 53.7 percent of the vote in the second round of the presidential election.

A day before going to vote in the run-off, pollsters competed to announce their findings on the run-off results.

Cunda forecast indicated Erdogan won 52.7 percent against 47.3 percent for Kilicdaroglu, according to Sky News.

While Asal's percentage rose to 53.4 percent in favor of Erdogan, Saros predicted Erdogan would receive 53.1 percent of the vote.
Bemar predicted Erdogan would get 52.19 percent.

Most opinion polls suggest President Erdogan will remain in power for another five years.

On May 14, no candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the first round of elections.

Erdogan led by 49.51 percent, his rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu received 44.88 percent, and Sinan Ogan, the third candidate, received 5.17 percent.
