▲ Rep. Kim Nam-guk spotted at Gapyeong Rest Area

Rep. Kim Nam-guk, who is in hiding after defecting from the Democratic Party due to the controversy over trading large amounts of virtual assets, recently received coin trading details from a cryptocurrency exchange.

According to data received by Rep. Kim Hee-gon's office, a member of the People's Power Coingate fact-finding team, from the cryptocurrency exchange 'Bithumb' on the 25th, Rep. Kim Nam-guk has received his transaction details from Bithumb since March.

An industry insider said, "I understand that Rep. Kim received the data from Bithumb on the 3th of this month."

Earlier, lawyer Bae Seung-hee, the host of the conservative-leaning YouTube show "Tatabuta," posted a photo on social media of Rep. Kim standing behind a car with a man, saying that it was taken at a rest stop in Gapyeong on the 18th.

Rep. Kim reportedly received the transaction details from Bithumb through an aide.

Bithumb is a virtual currency exchange where Rep. Kim opened an electronic wallet, and it is reported that WEMIX coins worth about 18 billion won were transferred from Bithumb to other exchanges in January and February last year.

Rep. Kim has not appeared in the National Assembly since defecting from the MDP on 1 March and his whereabouts are unknown.
