British police announced the arrest of a person in connection with a car crash at the front gate of the Prime Minister's Office in the capital London yesterday.

Local media quoted the police as saying in a statement: "A person rammed his car at the main gates of the Downing Street headquarters, and was arrested," pointing out that the incident did not result in any injuries, and that an investigation is underway for its circumstances.

According to local reports, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was at the Prime Minister's Office at the time of the collision and then left after the incident, pointing out that it is the police who are investigating the incident and not the counter-terrorism authorities, while the police did not officially comment on the identity of the perpetrator or his motives.
