The director of the television coverage of the baseball game between the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night did not miss a crumb of unexpected action. These amazing images are not those of a player achieving a feat but of a particularly cute and agile squirrel, spotted the Huffington Post.

In the middle of the stadium located in New York (United States) the animal dived a sprint along a low wall before making an impressive fall. The scene was filmed in close-up and in slow motion by a cameraman, causing commentators of the televised match to react. It was then widely shared on social networks, where it generated many touching comments.

All bark and no bite

The reactions were all the more positive as the squirrel did indeed fall on all four legs after falling below. Internet users were not the only ones to be marked by the acrobatic course of the small rodent. In the images, the faces of the spectators in front of which the animal passes shows how surprised they are by the presence of the squirrel.

The MLB, American baseball league, has evaluated on its website at 2.5 m the fall of the small animal. She referred to a "landing in an incredibly impressive athletics display" and said the squirrel was first seen in the area where players warm up before ending up at the top of the safety wall.
