Hello everyone. As every day, the editorial staff of 20 Minutes is mobilized to give you the latest information on the conflict. Yesterday, two days after the surprise incursion into Russia of two groups from Ukraine, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu delivered a message of "firmness" during a meeting with the General Staff. "We will continue to respond quickly and extremely firmly to such actions," said the man who is the target of violent criticism from the head of the Russian paramilitary group Wagner Yevgeny Prigozhin.

On Tuesday, Russia said it had "crushed" with its aircraft and artillery a group that had attacked the border region of Belgorod the day before, the most spectacular incursion into Russian territory since the invasion of Ukraine. The attack, claimed by Russian armed groups based in Ukraine saying they want to overthrow Vladimir Putin, represents another embarrassing episode for Moscow, whose army is entangled in a 15-month conflict.
