Russia allegedly foiled an attempt to sabotage two nuclear power plants, "by the Ukrainian secret services before May 9".
This was stated by the Center for Public Relations of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB), quoted by the Tass agency: "A group of saboteurs and terrorists of the Kiev services on the eve of the 78th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War, attempted to mine more than 30 towers of high-voltage power lines of nuclear power plants in the Leningradskaya and Kalinin regions", said the FSB.

To "cause serious economic damage"The attack, according to Moscow, was aimed at "
disrupting the smooth operation of nuclear power plants and causing serious economic and reputational damage to the Russian Federation."

Conflicting information also circulated about the commander of the Ukrainian army Valery Zaluzhny. Russian media reported that he was wounded in the head in a raid in early May and that he was operated on in a Kiev military hospital. It would not be life threatening but his condition would be complicated by type 2 diabetes, of which the commander is suffering, and would prevent him from playing his role. Kiev's denial came shortly after from Ukrainian Defense Council Secretary Danilov, who said Zaluzhny attended a meeting with President Zelensky on Wednesday.
