After the White House incident

Man arrested for ramming his car at the gates of the British Prime Minister's residence

A man who rammed his car into the gates of the British Prime Minister's residence is arrested.

This comes after US police announced the arrest of the driver of the truck that hit a security barrier near the White House and brought several charges against him, including threatening the life or harming the president, vice president or a member of his family, on Tuesday.

U.S. police said in a statement that the charges include: "assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless behavior with a truck, threatening to kill, kidnap or cause harm to the president, vice president or a member of his family, destruction of federal property and trespass."

The FBI's D.C. National Response Unit is assisting Park Police and the U.S. Secret Service in the investigations.
