The climate stickers and their large following will see themselves confirmed once again: Now the state is already striking as if against citizens of the Reich. The Bavarian Central Office for Combating Extremism and Terrorism at the Munich Public Prosecutor's Office is in charge of the searches in several federal states. One of the reasons: At least 1.4 million euros in donations are said to have been collected – to commit further crimes.
Professional approach
In view of the professional approach of the Last Generation, the suspicion of a criminal organization was never far away. All communicative paths and procedural possibilities were and are open to them – but they chose the path of injustice. If the rule of law does not respond to this, it will send a fatal signal.
Anyone who seriously claims that this is the only way to make progress should think this through to the end. Anyone who constructs a duty of civil disobedience for everyone in a functioning constitutional state is basically proclaiming anarchy. Because the accusation made by the climate stickers that the federal government is violating the constitution is also raised by other groups.
In addition, unlike the extensive earlier protests against nuclear storage facilities or barracks, which were also accompanied by violence, the climate stickers indiscriminately coerce thousands of fellow citizens. In this way, however, they do not reap any understanding, but head-shaking, the exercise of the right of self-defence and even violence, which, however, is just as unacceptable.
The necessary prosecution, which has now reached a new threshold, should encourage everyone to contemplation. It is not about a blanket criminalization of protests against climate policy, but about the enforcement of the law. You have to be able to agree on that. Because, hopefully, that's what it's all about: a peaceful struggle for a better policy. Or is it just about violent actions as such? Anyone who sees this as the purpose of the association should be banned.
