Homs-Sana

Homs Governorate, in cooperation with the Directorate of Martyrs, Wounded and Missing Affairs at the Ministry of Defense, honored today 300 families of martyrs, and they were handed medals of fidelity in the presence of a number of official, military and civil events in the governorate.

The Director of the Directorate of Martyrs Affairs, Major General Bassam Berri, pointed out in his speech that martyrdom for the sake of the homeland is a life to remain impregnable and victorious, and honoring the families of martyrs is a tribute to every honest citizen who sacrificed for the sake of the homeland, and gave the most precious thing he has as a sacrifice for the sanctity of his soil.

The Governor of Homs, Engineer Namir Makhlouf, pointed out that the martyrs of Syria sacrificed their most precious lives and blood, and made the great victory for Syria, appreciating the unlimited giving and sincere belonging to the land by their families who instilled in the hearts and consciences of their children love and defense of the homeland.

Omar Houria, secretary of the Homs branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, said: "Honoring the families of the martyrs is our duty, which is the least we can offer and does not match the magnitude of their great sacrifices in order to preserve the dignity and pride of the homeland."

A number of families of the honored martyrs expressed their pride in the testimony of their sons who wrote the glory of Syria and made victory, thanking those in charge of this honor.
