The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Damascus, Xi Hongwei, stressed that Syria's resumption of its participation in the meetings of the Arab League will contribute to strengthening the solidarity of Arab countries, accelerating the steps of the Arab world towards development and renaissance, and will bring more positive factors on the road to reconstruction in Syria.
In a statement received by SANA today, Ambassador Hongwei welcomed Syria's return to the Arab League, stressing that China and Syria have a deep traditional friendship and will be partners advancing hand in hand on the path of modernization and development.
The ambassador noted China's willingness to work with Syria and other countries of the world to promote modernization and create a better tomorrow for the world together.
In a related context, Ambassador Hongwei said that the Twentieth National Congress of the Communist Party of China held last October outlined a blueprint for China's future development, and proposed to promote the great renewal of the Chinese nation in a comprehensive way through Chinese-style modernization, pointing to the Lanting Forum held in Shanghai on "Chinese Style and World Modernization", during which the Chinese president stressed that achieving modernization has been the tireless pursuit of the Chinese people since modern times, and it is also the joint pursuit of peoples from the Chinese world. around the world to provide new opportunities for global development and promote the building of a shared society for mankind.
"China-style modernization" is an inevitable choice for China's hundred-year-old development process and an inevitable result of the scientific norms of human development, the ambassador said, stressing that China will more resolutely defend the development rights of all countries, actively promote high-level opening-up, civilizational communication, and cooperate more to build a community of shared future.
The ambassador pointed out that the "Chinese-style modernization" injects a stronger dynamic to the global economic recovery, as China is today a major trading partner for more than 140 countries and regions, Chinese direct investment worth 320 million US dollars flows to the world daily, more than 3000,1 foreign companies register in China monthly, and over the past decade China has been ahead of the Group of Seven countries combined in terms of contribution to global growth with 4.<> billion and a half of China's entire population entering the country. China will also inevitably provide greater impetus to the global economy.
The ambassador said that "Chinese-style modernization" brings more factors that confirm peace and stability in the world, noting that China consciously bears the responsibility of protecting the ecological environment and confronting climate change, and does not aim from its development to dominate, as it is the only country that has included "adhering to the path of peaceful development" in its constitution, and it is the largest contributor of peacekeeping forces among the permanent members of the UN Security Council.
